'I want to lose weight, but I can't!' I have heard this so many times, it would simply be impossible for me to count them. But regardless of that elusive number, I thought it was about time I compiled 17 Top Tips to Explode Your Weight Loss.
With Christmas just around the corner people across the country are beginning to panic as they attempt to squeeze into their best outfits. The zipper breaking time is over. There is still time to shave those unwanted pounds off and enjoy a 'breathable experience this Christmas. So, here you are, your 17 Top Tips To Explode Your Weight Lossto kick off 2010 with a bang!
Tip 1 - Forget Dieting! Fill Yourself With...Alkalising Foods And Fluids! - This is an easy one. Diets very rarely work for many reasons, one of those being that you have to give things up, cut down, deprive yourself. It's too darn difficult! Will power only lasts a short while, if you don't want to do something, you won't do it for long. Past experience will tell you this is true. So, go ahead and fill yourself with high alkalizing, electron-rich foods and fluids.
Tip 2 - Pour In The Fat! - Fat doesn't make you fat, acid does! Fat is an alkalizing buffer and helps the body maintain your ideal and perfect weight...It Does Not Make You Fat! Fill your diet with healthy alkalizing fats such as avocado, borage, flax, hemp, evening primrose. Get to your local health food store or health section in your local supermarket and buy yourself a bottle of healthy mixed, cold pressed, organic if possible, oils. Between 3-7 good English pounds should see you to a wonderful bottle of goodness.
Tip 3 - Enjoy 'One' Heavy Protein Or Carbohydrate Per Meal! - When you combine a heavy protein with a heavy carbohydrate (example: pasta, carbohydrate, chicken, protein) your body will struggle to digest them. Your amazing body produces an acidic substance to break down the proteins and an alkaline substance to break down the carbohydrates. These 2 substances neutralize each other and make it tougher for the body to digest the food. Where it may take your body 2-3 hours to digest one or the other, it can take 12-14 hours to digest the 2 combined. The result: Your body will become more acidic and store more fat if you eat the 2 together!
Tip 4 - Walk! Walk! And Walk Some More! - A study was conducted recently where slim and overweight people, who did not participate in an exercise regime, had their steps per day measured. What did they find? The slimmer people were walking on average 6000 steps per day and the overweight people were walking on average 4000 steps per day! Those 2000 steps per day can be done in as little as 30 minutes of walking! Walk to the shops, take the stairs, go to the park, park further away from the shops. Whatever it takes, get walking!
Tip 5 - Half Your Plate Should...?? - At least half your plate should be full of alive, green, alkaline rich, life enhancing, electron-rich foods!!That was quite a mouthful (pun intended), but I wanted to emphasise the point. Every time you are about to eat a meal, check that half your plate is full with ingredients from the list I gave you a moment ago. Here it is again:
Tip 6 - Breathe The Fat Away! - Deep breathing has so many benefits it's incredible that people don't do more of it! I won't list all the science behind it here, but please trust me, breathing deeply will help you lose weight, guaranteed!Breathe in and hold the breath. By holding your breath you will allow the oxygen to do its thing! And it's 'thing' is pretty amazing!
Tip 7 - Do You Know You Are Eating?! - Eat consciously! Do you ever stuff your face and barely notice what you are eating? At your next meal, try eating at half your normal pace. Smell the food and enjoy the look of it. Enjoy the whole process of eating it. You will probably find you get full up before the meal is finished, if so STOP EATING!!!
Tip 8 - You've Surely Heard This One Before....'Bedtime Eating Ain't Good!' - Here's the problem with eating late, your body will spend your 'resting hours' digesting what you ate. Thus, you won't actually be resting! You will wake up tired and groggy as you will not have had any proper rest because your poor old body would have been working hard all night to digest the food you put in. And let's face it, chances are if you are eating late at night it's probably not healthy stuff! Let your body enjoy its rest and stop eating as early as you can in the evening.
Tip 9 - Deal With Your Emotions! - You know as well as I do that emotions are one of the number one factors in overeating! So deal with them in a different way! Most people who are overweight turn to food to distract them from uncomfortable feelings. Try something new! Why not find a different way of dealing with your emotions. Perhaps something as simple as thinking through what just happened to find out where the emotion is coming from and why it has shown up. Next time you feel bad in any way, notice what you do to comfort yourself. Are you turning to food to numb the feeling? If so, recognize it and change it! There are bundles of programmes on the market to help you do this and I don't want to get too in depth in this short document, but do yourself a favour and do something about it.
Tip 10 - "Failing To Plan Is Planning To Fail!" - Have you heard this before? I'm not sure which wise soul said, but they were absolutely right! Planning ahead is vitally important! It would be almost impossible for me to count the amount of times I have eating junk because I had not planned ahead. Think through your day in advance. Note where you are going, who will you be with? Will there be any shops with healthy snacks. Think it through and plan the day so you don't end up with your regular sugar craving driving you into your nearest sweet shop!
Tip 11 - Become The 'Healthy Snacks Man/Woman!' - Again, check the list I gave you earlier. Pick any items from the alkalizing side that you like and carry them everywhere! Ask any of my friends and they will tell you I take a bag everywhere with me and I always have my green drinks with me. Very often I'll also have raw almonds, maybe a cucumber or bell pepper to snack on. Or any other number of items that are alkalizing and life enhancing. Get into the same habit to help shed those extra pounds!
Tip 12 - Stop The Calorie Rubbish! - You Do Not Need To Worry About Calories! Stop even thinking about them. Listen! You can eat 5000 calories per day (the recommended for men and women being 2500 and 2000 respectively, by the way) of alive, alkaline, healthy foods and drinks and weight will poor off you. Conversely, you could eat just 1500 calories of purely acidic nasty foods and you will still not be able to lose weight. So, it has nothing to do with the amount of calories! Simply fill yourself to bursting with alkaline, electron-rich, life-enhancing foods and fluids and the weight will fall off!
Tip 13 - Say Mooooo To Meat! - Sorry to do this to you but I MUST. Meat is BAD, BAD, BAD!! I know you've been taught differently and I know you may not want to hear this, but what kind of friend would I be if I didn't tell you the whole truth? Meat is full of uric acid, putrefactive germs, growth hormones, sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid and nitric acid, among other toxic poisonous substances that will make you fat! Tip 14 - Good Salt Is Good For You!! - Along with the many myths you have been taught, you have probably been sold on the idea that salt is bad for you? Well, here is the truth: Processed de-mineralised salt is bad for you but, natural pure unprocessed salt is not only good for you, but necessary to stay alive! The electrical communication between your cells requires this natural mineral to function. Without Sodium in your body you would die instantly! Tip 15 - Get Temptation Out Of The Way! - Remove yourself from temptation. Don't test yourself by going into Starbucks and trying to resist the coffee and cake. If you are struggling to lose weight, it's a pretty sure bet that your will power is not at its strongest, so don't test it. Meet in places where there is little or no temptation. Go for a walk with a friend instead of meeting at the coffee shop. Don't fill your cupboards with junk either. Just think it through and be clever up front.
Tip 16 - Sorry, It's Time To Attack The Dairy! - If you want to lose weight, get rid of or cut down your intake of dairy. There is no argument you can throw at me that justifies any dairy whatsoever as a healthy substance to put inside your beautiful body! It is all highly acidic and life draining produce!
